On May 10th of last year, I dove into keto and made a promise to myself that I would start to heal the damage I inflicted on my body from years of the standard Western diet and a sedentary lifestyle. Throughout my 53 weeks on Keto, I have lost over 100lbs, lowered my blood pressure to a normal level, went from a 2XL shirt to a medium and gained my confidence and love of life back.

What's amazing to me is that I did all this within just one year. Years of bad habits, dismissing health concerns, and excuses were undone with just one year of Keto. Now, that is not to say that this way of eating is a magic pill (even though the documentary of the same name claims it to be). You have to be disciplined. You have to track what you consume and make sure you adjust your macros. I ate a caloric deficit and log everything I put into my mouth. If you put the work in, the results will be there.

The point of this post is to stay the course if you are struggling. Stalling? Look at older pictures of yourself or take measurements. Want something sweet? Use erythritol or any of the numerous sweet products that are Keto friendly. Do not give up on Keto or yourself. If I can do this, so can you.
